I saw this piece of graffiti the other day while walking along the train tracks near my house. After reading the homework assignments I had been thinking about different color schemes, and the red and blue in this really caught my eye. Then my sister and I took a day trip to Montreal, and after looking at our pictures the same red and blue scheme jumped out at me. It is definitely my favorite color contrast.
Technically, according to the color wheel, blue would compliment orange and red would compliment green. Red and blue are both primary colors and so their compliments would be secondary. All this being said, one can definitely find great examples of all three color schemes in graffiti art. Thanks for sharing these two.
ReplyDeleteI know that it is vandalism often, but I have always been drawn to urban graffiti and street mural art. Some of the work I saw while in NYC was amazing.
