Here are some of my favorite landscape shots for this week. My best friend and I drove across and around the Golden Gate bridge on one of the only sunny days this month. I tried to do a panoramic shot, but I liked these individual ones better than the panoramic's I got.

I really enoy the top picture. My eyes are dragged from the dark stone at the bottom of the screen across the bridge. Really nice composition. As beautiful as the foliage is here in VT, it is nice to see a different kind of landscape.
ReplyDeleteI like the first photo as well. It seems a little more grounded, and the eye travels more easily around the picture. The rocks in the foreground are as captivating as the bridge itself.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to California in a long time. These photos bring me back. thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeletemmmm I miss Cali!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree - your top picture is, as Alina said, "more grounded" - sweet shot!
Great set up of use of lines at the shore and the bridge to define a variety of landscapes lines within the image! It is interesting that although it is the golden gate bridge - the colors are primarily grey, blue, and white which gives the image a completely different sense than most of the pictures that one sees of the golden gate where most are capturing the color as opposed to the actual architecture of the bridge.
ReplyDeleteI love how the blue is peaking through the clouds in the sky. It breaks up the dark colors in the photo just a little, without taking away from the over all feel of the pictures.
ReplyDeleteMallory: The rocks in the front do ground the photo as everyone has said. You almost don't notice them. But their diagonal is mirrored in the top of the photo..excellent shot!
